I am very pleased to announce that Christine Haesler has joined our Student Affairs team as Manager, Career Services & Student Leadership and Engagement.
Christine will be providing leadership to two units: the Career Services team and the Student Leadership and Engagement team. These two areas have been brought closer together intentionally. As such, Christine will be providing leadership for student programming that recognizes the connection between curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular learning and how out of classroom experiences enable students to develop experiences and employability skills that benefit students when seeking employment.
A bit about Christine:
Christine joins us via Centennial and Humber, where she has worked in student services and in the academic faculty. She has over 15 years’ experience in higher education, both inside and outside of the classroom. Christine has a Masters of Leadership from Guelph and a Bachelor of Education from Brock.
In the classroom, she has been an instructor and field placement advisor, teaching career preparation and employability skills to students. She also strongly believes in the value and purpose of embedding employability skills development into out-of-class programming for students.
Please join me in welcoming Christine.
