After successful careers with the Faculty of Applied Science and Technology, two long-standing School of Applied Computing colleagues are retiring.
Bill Farkas, with over 30 years at Sheridan, has decided to change his pace and step into retirement. A long-standing faculty member and Program Coordinator of two Applied Computing programs: Internet Communications Technology and the joint Bachelor of Computing and Network Communications (Honours) – Internet Communications Technology degree program with Brock University, Bill has advanced the programs alongside continually evolving Internet technologies, and has been a dedicated and highly esteemed colleague.
I would also like to announce that Becky (Rebecca) Moore will also be leaving Sheridan to join her husband in retirement and enjoy her new role as a retiree. Becky started at Sheridan in 2006 as a Research Assistant and since that time has worked in a variety of roles culminating most recently as an Academic Portfolio Administrator for Applied Computing at Trafalgar. Becky has always been a gracious and energetic team player, and has proven the breadth of her skills time and time again in each role she has pursued.
Please join me, and the School of Applied Computing, in wishing Bill and Becky health and happiness in their respective new adventures, and a very happy retirement to both.
Pat Burns
Interim Associate Dean, School of Applied Computing (Trafalgar)
