Please join me in welcoming Elaine Ursel who has accepted the position of full time Curriculum Consultant in the Network for Innovation and Leadership in Education. Elaine brings to the team an extensive background in education. She holds a Master of Education (Curriculum Specialist) and a Bachelor of Education from Brock University in addition to a Bachelor of Sciences in Developmental Psychology from the University of Toronto. Elaine’s 29 years of teaching have been focused in the areas of special education, literacy and curriculum design. She has collaborated on projects to align curriculum to Ministry standards, participated on advisory committees to review curriculum practices and propose future policy directions and has facilitated multiple professional development sessions for colleagues. Elaine’s knowledge and experience in teaching and curriculum design combined with her dedication and commitment to student success provide her with the skills required to support the academic community in this role.
Elaine begins her new position on Monday March 11, 2013. Her primary role will be to support curriculum development. We look forward to Elaine joining our team. Please join me in welcoming Elaine to Sheridan.
