I am sorry to announce that Susan Wright, my Executive Assistant, will be retiring on August 15 after 33 years at Sheridan. Susan has been an invaluable member of my team since I joined Sheridan in February 2010. She has always been unfailingly professional, courteous and good-natured in her dealings with members of our community and external stakeholders.
Susan brought a wealth of institutional knowledge and insight to her role, having first joined Sheridan in 1981 as a support staff member in the arts faculty. She joined the President’s Office in 1997, and has supported three consecutive presidents over the past 17 years.
I know that Susan will be greatly missed, not only by myself but by her many colleagues and friends at Sheridan. She has requested that we not hold a farewell reception in her honour, but please take the time over the next few months to wish her happiness and good health in her retirement.
