We are pleased to welcome Margaret Sanderson to the role of Manager, Diversity and Inclusion within the Centre for Respectful and Health Workplaces (Human Resources and Organizational Development).

This position grew out of the work done by the Organizational Accessibility Coordinator and so while maintaining and moving forward with campus wide implementation of AODA requirements, Margaret’s responsibilities encompass the expanded scope of developing and implementing a diversity and inclusion strategy. She will be working in cooperation with the Sheridan community to build awareness and foster an inclusive, welcoming and supportive environment for all employees at Sheridan.

Margaret holds a Master’s degree from the School of Planning at the University of Waterloo and comes to us with extensive public sector experience in the areas of policy development, grant proposal writing, delivery of education and training opportunities and working with wide-ranging stakeholder groups.

She is committed to creating welcoming environments for all people and comes to us most recently from Brock University and previously the City of Kitchener, Inclusion Services.
